Emerita Provides Results for Phase 2 Metallurgical Testing Program at Iberian Belt West Project in Spain

09:11 AM EDT, 10/31/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Emerita Resources ( EMOTF ) reported Thursday results on the phase 2 metallurgical testing program for base metals on the Iberian Belt West project in Spain.

Copper concentrate results include 20.2% copper, 4.45 grams per tonne (g/t) gold, 1,503 g/t silver and 1.8% mass pull, with 42.4% copper recovery.

Lead concentrate results include 35.5% lead and 8.82% copper, 0.85 g/t gold, 524 g/t silver and 7.1% mass pull, with 78.3% lead and 39.7% copper recoveries.

For zinc concentrate, results include 52.9% zinc, 0.51 g/t gold, 84 g/t silver and 8.1% mass pull, with 78.0% zinc recovery.

Total precious metal recoveries were 50.9% gold and 88.2% silver.

"This work will provide the parameters for a commercial plant design that can produce three separate concentrates (copper, lead and zinc) with both grades and recoveries that published recoveries and concentrate grades from mining operations in the district," said Jorge Blanco, director of metallurgy for Emerita.

The company said tests to finalize the precious metals recoveries are nearing completion and results are expected by the end of November.

Emerita's share price fell 6.6% yesterday to $0.57 on the TSXV.
