07:39 AM EDT, 05/29/2025 (MT Newswires) -- enCore Energy (EU.V) gained 3.3% at last look Thursday in Nasdaq pre-market trading as the company received a radioactive materials license for the Upper Spring Creek uranium project in Texas.
The license, which was approved by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, allows the company to handle radioactive materials, including the final uranium product. The license also authorizes the construction of wellfields and a satellite ion exchange plant, which will feed the Rosita uranium central processing plant, enCore said.
The Rosita uranium project is currently part of the license, according to enCore. The license is scheduled for renewal in 2032.
"The Upper Spring Creek project brings important uranium mineralization into the operations of the company, and we look forward to recovering (capturing) increasing amounts of uranium from late this year into 2026," said William Sheriff, executive chairman of enCore Energy.
