10:00 AM EDT, 04/03/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Enterprise Products Partners ( EPD ) said Wednesday it plans to build a new natural gas processing plant in Texas to expand its operations in the Permian Basin.

The Mentone West 2 plant will be located in Loving County, Texas in the Delaware Basin and will be able to process more than 300 million cubic feet per day (MMcf/d) of natural gas and to extract more than 40,000 barrels per day (BPD) of natural gas liquids, the company said. The plant is expected to be operational in Q2 2026.

The company said its Mentone 3 plant in the Delaware Basin, which is also capable of processing more than 300 MMcf/d of natural gas and extracting more than 40,000 BPD of natural gas liquids, has started operations and that the Mentone West 1 plant is on schedule to start service in H2 2025.

Enterprise also said that its Leonidas natural gas processing plant in Midland Basin has started service and construction of the Orion natural gas processing facility is on schedule with operations slated to start in H2 2025.
