From continental Europe, the gainers were led by pharmaceutical company Novo Nordisk ( NVO ) and tech firm Opera (OPRA), which climbed 8.3% and 5.9%, respectively.
The decliners from continental Europe were led by electronics company Sequans Communications ( SQNS ) , which fell 7.2%, and food company Oatly ( OTLY ) , which retreated 1.4%.
From the UK and Ireland, the gainers were led by business services group Rentokil Initial ( RTO ) and biotech firm GSK (GSK), which rose 19% and 2.3%, respectively.
Meanwhile, the decliners from the UK and Ireland were led by biotech Silence Therapeutics ( SLN ) , which was down 2.7%.
