Expect good growth during FY19, says Coal India
May 30, 2018 2:15 AM

Coal India posted a mixed bag this quarter with a lot of one-offs. The street is awaiting a lot of clarity from the management. Samiran Dutta, chief manager - finance at Coal India shared his views and readings.

“Production and offtake both registered good growth and this Q4 was the best in last few years. Fiscal 2019 we have already registered a growth in production of around 16 percent and in offtake of around 13 percent. Expect a good growth during fiscal 2019,” he said.

“We have a target of around 630 million tonne for the current fiscal as well as we have started fiscal 2019 with 55 million tonne of inventory so that puts us in a position of around 650 plus supply that we can make. So that should be able to supply more to power during the year, which we are planning also,” he added.
