08:37 AM EST, 12/19/2024 (MT Newswires) -- The US Federal Aviation Administration said Wednesday it has completed a safety review of Southwest Airlines ( LUV ) , launched in July after multiple incidents raised concerns.

"The FAA finished its Certificate Holder Evaluation Program (CHEP) of Southwest Airlines ( LUV )," the agency told MT Newswires in an email. "The review did not identify any significant safety issues."

Southwest Airlines ( LUV ) said it appreciated "the opportunity to engage with the FAA as part of our mutual dedication to safety." In an email response to MT Newswires, the airline said "nothing is more important to Southwest ( LUV ) than the safety of our customers and employees."

The FAA continues separate investigations into other incidents involving Southwest Airlines ( LUV ) flights, Reuters reported. The incidents include a low-altitude flight near an Oklahoma airport, a "Dutch roll" experienced on a May flight, and a June departure from a closed runway in Portland, Maine, Reuters reported.
