06:21 AM EDT, 10/16/2025 (MT Newswires) -- FireFly Metals ( MNXMF ) late Wednesday released drill results from the Green Bay copper-gold project in Newfoundland that extended the known mineralization by more than 650 meters beyond the mineral resource.
The furthest intersection returned 49 meters at 6.1% copper equivalent, which included an internal massive sulphide zone grading 14.3 meters at 13.7% copper equivalent.
The company said the strength of the mineralization appears to be increasing at depth, and that this is one of the best intersections recorded so far at the Ming deposit within Green Bay. The results will form part of the mineral resource estimate update scheduled for the fourth quarter.
The drill holes also confirm that the previously reported downhole electromagnetic geophysical anomaly of 700 meters is the result of confirmed copper-gold bearing mineralization. This anomaly indicates mineralization is likely to continue well beyond the step-out hole.
Drilling also confirmed the presence of broad copper-rich Footwall Zone style copper mineralization below the upper VMS zone.
FireFly gained more than 9% to $1.29, hitting 52-week highs, Wednesday.
