07:10 AM EDT, 07/09/2025 (MT Newswires) -- First Atlantic Nickel ( FANCF ) on Wednesday said it expanded the RPM Zone awaruite nickel-alloy discovery, with a 400-meter northern extension yielding 1.47% nickel concentrate over 351 meters.
Based on Davis Tube Recovery metallurgical test results, the final hole completed during Phase 1 drilling returned a continuous interval of 351 meters averaging 1.5% nickel and 1.5% chromium in magnetic concentrate, with a mass pull of 8.2%. This corresponds to a magnetically recoverable nickel grade of 0.1% over the 351-meter interval.
The results confirm that widespread disseminated visible awaruite mineralization extends significantly northward. Phase 2 drilling is underway, building on the success of Phase 1.
The RPM Zone discovery has average DTR nickel grades of 0.11% to 0.14%, demonstrating the potential for district-scale awaruite mineralization within multiple target areas, the company said.
