First Majestic Silver's Shares Fall on Wider Q2 Loss, Lower Revenue

11:28 AM EDT, 08/01/2024 (MT Newswires) -- First Majestic Silver's ( AG ) shares fell 13.7% in recent Thursday trading after the company reported its Q2 financial results.

The company reported that its Q2 loss widened to $0.07 per share from $0.02 a year earlier.

Three analysts polled by Capital IQ expected a loss of $0.04.

Revenue for the quarter ended June 30 was $136.2 million, down from $146.7 million a year ago.

Analysts' estimates were not readily available for comparison.

The company announced a cash dividend of $0.0046 per common share, payable around Aug. 30 to shareholders of record on Aug. 16. The company's Q1 cash dividend was $0.0037 per common share.
