First Solar Modules Get Ultra Low Carbon Designation

02:14 PM EDT, 06/04/2024 (MT Newswires) -- First Solar ( FSLR ) said Tuesday that its Series 6 Plus and Series 7 photovoltaic solar modules were designated as EPEAT Climate+, indicating they produced an ultra low amount of carbon.

The ecolabel aims to assist buyers in recognizing technology items that focus on reducing climate change impacts, the company said.

First Solar ( FSLR ) added that its photovoltaic solar modules were the world's first to have achieved the Climate+ designation.

Shares of the company were down 2.2% in recent trading.
