Flex, Musashi Energy Collaborate on AI Data Centers Power Solutions

12:50 PM EDT, 08/08/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Flex (FLEX) and Musashi Energy Solutions, a unit of Musashi Seimitsu Industry, said Thursday they are collaborating to supply Flex's capacitor-based energy storage systems using Musashi's Hybrid SuperCapacitor technology.

Flex's solutions can maintain power output and protect the grid against power disturbances that occur during artificial intelligence training and processing in data center settings, while Musashi's advanced HSCs are designed to offer dependable energy storage in various applications.

These systems are created to connect with server rack power systems to tackle major issues related to power supply in artificial intelligence data centers, according to a joint statement.

Financial details weren't disclosed.

Flex is expected to start the production of its storage systems in H1 2025, with commercial availability anticipated in just three months after the start of production, according to a joint statement.
