06:59 AM EDT, 08/14/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Flutter Entertainment ( FLUT ) is in talks to acquire Playtech's Snaitech business, Playtech said Wednesday in a regulatory filing.

The statement came after SKY News reported Wednesday that Flutter Entertainment ( FLUT ) was in talks to buy Italy's largest gambling company from Playtech in a deal worth 2 billion British pounds ($2.57 billion).

Playtech said it has granted Flutter Entertainment ( FLUT ) a period of exclusivity to finalize due diligence and other necessary transaction documentation.
