Fortune Bay Starts Exploration Drilling at Goldfields Project in Saskatchewan
Nov 25, 2025 4:08 AM

06:53 AM EST, 11/25/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Fortune Bay ( FTBYF ) on Tuesday said it has commenced exploration drilling on high-priority targets at the Goldfields gold project in northern Saskatchewan.

The targets include resource expansion opportunities at the Box and Athona deposits and potential for adding new resources from under explored areas at Frontier, Golden Pond and Triangle. All are within two kilometers of past-producing and future mine infrastructure.

Drilling will be carried out in conjunction with development-related drilling, supporting advancement of Goldfields to pre-feasibility study.

At the Box deposit, four initial drill holes will test and infill gaps in the existing drill hole coverage outside of the mineral resource estimate to test for extensions to high-grade zones with underground mining potential.

At the Athona deposit, two initial drill holes will test mineralization continuity in the Athona West Mine Granite and an underlying extension of the Athona Mine Granite below the AWMG. This target has potential to cost-effectively add mineral resources with limited delineation drilling.

The Frontier, Golden Pond, and Triangle occurrences represent opportunities to define new mineralized zones that could contribute additional gold ounces to future MREs.
