07:18 AM EDT, 08/27/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Freeman Gold ( FMANF ) , trading near 52-week highs, said overnight Tuesday that it exercised its option to purchase 46 unpatented claims to consolidate ownership of the Lemhi gold project in Idaho.
The company said it amended the option agreement and negotiated a final payment of US$525,000 while fulfilling the terms, which include US$1 million in payments over seven years.
Meanwhile, Freeman appointed Julie Van Baarsen as interim CFO, effective Sept. 1., succeeding Bassam Moubarak, who had acted as both CEO and CFO. Moubarak remains CEO and director.
Freeman traded 5.3% higher on Tuesday to $0.20 on the TSXV.
