08:28 AM EST, 12/12/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Fury Gold Mines ( FURY ) on Thursday said it plans a 3,000 to 5,000-meter exploration-drilling program next year at the Eleonore South project in Quebec, targeting six potential targets.
In a release touting its achievements in 2024, the company said the six targets "encompass multi-point biogeochemical gold anomalies and correlate with pathfinder elements, most notably arsenic which is associated with gold mineralization at the Eleonore Mine".
Fury consolidated its ownership of Eleonore South earlier this yea, acquiring Newmont's (NGT.TO, NEM) 49.97% share of the project in February for $3 million. The lands are near the Eleonore gold mine then owned by Newmont but since sold to closely held Dhilmar.
The company also noted increased resources at its Eau Claire project and said it expects to end 2024 with $5 million in cash.
The company's shares closed unchanged at $0.58 Wednesday on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
