08:39 AM EDT, 06/09/2025 (MT Newswires) -- G2 Goldfields ( GUYGF ) reported Monday new assay results from its ongoing drill program in the greater OKO-AREMU district in Guyana.
Highlights include 65 meters at 1.5 grams per tonne (g/t) gold and 9.7 meters at 3.1 g/t gold, as well as 52 meters at 0.9 g/t gold and 70.5 meters at 1.8 g/t gold.
G2 said the new Oko discovery total strike length now stands at 630 meters and remains open in all directions.
"The latest results confirm the continuity of gold mineralization down-dip of the host structure, and along strike to the northeast," said Boaz Wade, G2's vice president of exploration. "Within the consistent broad intercepts along the shear, coherent zones of higher-grade begin to indicate the potential of plunging mineralized shoots that are still open at depth."
The company said its next phase of drilling will focus on extensions of these higher-grade zones at depth and shallow strike extensions to the southwest.
"The extraordinary successes of one of the best exploration teams in the business continues," said Patrick Sheridan, G2's executive chairman. "I am convinced there will ultimately be multiple mines in this district."
G2's share price gained 2.3% on Friday to $3.15 on the TSX.
