Gatos Silver Shareholders Approve Merger With First Majestic Silver

04:38 PM EST, 01/14/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Gatos Silver ( GATO ) said Tuesday its shareholders approved the merger agreement with First Majestic Silver at a special meeting.

Gatos stockholders will receive 2.55 First Majestic Shares for each Gatos share held, the company said. First Majestic shareholders also approved the issuance of up to 190 million shares for the merger at its special meeting.

The company expects to close the merger prior to market open on Thursday.
