GE Healthcare Technologies to Acquire AI Brain Imaging Firm Icometrix
Sep 10, 2025 6:12 AM

08:33 AM EDT, 09/10/2025 (MT Newswires) -- GE Healthcare Technologies ( GEHC ) said Wednesday it agreed to acquire Icometrix, a firm specializing in AI-powered brain imaging for neurological conditions like Alzheimer's.

The company said the deal would integrate Icometrix's Icobrain platform, used to detect side effects of Alzheimer's treatments, with GE's MRI systems for smoother workflows.

It added that the move supports its precision care strategy by improving diagnosis and monitoring across neurological treatment.

The deal is pending regulatory approval, and financial terms weren't disclosed, the company said, adding it will use existing cash to fund the purchase.
