09:33 AM EST, 03/05/2025 (MT Newswires) -- General Dynamics ( GD ) has participated in a $250 million funding round for Epirus, a technology company focused on short-range air defense.
Epirus said the $250 million series D funding round was oversubscribed and that its venture funding now totals more than $550 million.
The round was led by 8VC and Washington Harbour Partners, along with a group of return investors that included General Dynamics ( GD ), funds advised by T. Row Price's (TROW) Investment Management, and new investors.
The funding will allow Epirus to scale production of Leonidas, its high-power microwave technology for countering drones, drone swarms, and other electronics, the company said.
