12:26 PM EST, 11/05/2024 (MT Newswires) -- General Motors ( GM ) issued a recall of 107 Chevrolet Bolt electric vehicles to remedy a malfunction that might raise the risk of a vehicle fire, a filing with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said.
The affected cars may fail to identify defective battery modules due to a malfunction in the software programming tool used during an earlier recall of the vehicles, the filing said.
The recall concerns vehicles for the 2020 to 2022 model years, and General Motors ( GM ) said it was not aware of any field incidents as a result of the software glitch.
