08:20 AM EDT, 10/31/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Scotiabank noted that Canada will release the payrolls (SEPH) data for August at 8:30 a.m. ET Thursday, although it pointed out that it's often ignored because it lags other data.

The bank pointed out that on Friday of next week, Canada will publish the Labour Force Survey (LFS) for October.

The average weekly earnings figure might be of mild interest with Thursday's SEPT as one of the wage figures the Bank of Canada monitors but not the more significant one, stated Scotiabank. Real wage growth using both main measures has been accelerating.
