General Motors Recalls Over 2,800 Chevrolet Equinox EVs Due to Concerns About Adaptive Cruise Control
Jan 22, 2025 5:32 AM

08:04 AM EST, 01/22/2025 (MT Newswires) -- General Motors ( GM ) is recalling certain 2025 Chevrolet Equinox all-wheel drive electric vehicles due to potential risks associated with their adaptive cruise control, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said in a notification Tuesday.

The recall will affect up to 2,890 vehicles, according to the regulator.

The regulator said the adaptive cruise control mounted on the vehicles could fail to engage the brakes due to faulty brake module software.

General Motors ( GM ) dealers will update the software calibration in the brake system control module with no additional cost.

GM shares were down 0.4% in recent premarket activity.
