06:26 AM EDT, 08/06/2025 (MT Newswires) -- GEO Group ( GEO ) reported Q2 adjusted earnings Wednesday of $0.22 per diluted share, down from $0.23 a year earlier.
Analysts polled by FactSet expected $0.17.
Revenue for the quarter ended June 30 was $636.2 million compared with $607.2 million a year earlier.
Analysts surveyed by FactSet expected $621.2 million.
For Q3, the company expects adjusted earnings of $0.20 to $0.23 per diluted share on revenue of $650 million to $660 million. Analysts surveyed by FactSet expect adjusted earnings of $0.26 per share on revenue of $651.5 million.
For 2025, the company said it expects adjusted earnings in the range of $0.84 to $0.94 per share. It raised its annual revenue guidance to about $2.56 billion from $2.53 billion. Analysts surveyed by FactSet expect adjusted earnings of $0.92 per share and revenue of $2.59 billion.
GEO's board has also approved a share repurchase program of up to $300 million.
Shares of the company rose more than 4% in Wednesday's premarket activity.
