Ginkgo Bioworks, Imagindairy to Develop Animal-Free Dairy Proteins

10:10 AM EDT, 03/26/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Ginkgo Bioworks ( DNA ) and Israeli foodtech company Imagindairy said Tuesday they started a partnership to develop and produce animal-free non-whey dairy proteins.

The project will use Ginkgo's Protein Expression Services and Imagindairy's process development and scale-up know-how, the companies said.

The multiyear project is partly funded by a joint grant from the Board of Governors of the Israel-US Binational Industrial Research and Development Foundation, the companies said.
