08:23 AM EDT, 06/24/2025 (MT Newswires) -- McDonald's (MCD) and Krispy Kreme (DNUT) said Tuesday they have decided to end their partnership, effective July 2.

McDonald's noted Krispy Kreme 'represented a small, non-material' part of its breakfast business.

Krispy Kreme's Chief Executive Josh Charlesworth added that "efforts to bring costs in line with unit demand were unsuccessful, making the partnership unsustainable for us."

The partnership began with a test in Kentucky in 2023, and was announced in March 2024.
