April 11 (Reuters) - Goldman Sachs ( GS ) has named
Chief Strategy Officer Carey Halio its global treasurer,
according to an internal memo seen by Reuters on Thursday.
Halio, who is also the head of investor relations, had
joined the Wall Street giant as a summer associate in 1999 in
the credit risk division.
She rejoined the company in the same team in 2000 and went
on to become the deputy treasurer of the bank and the chief of
Goldman Sachs Bank USA. She earned the coveted partner rank in
2016.
Halio will replace Philip Berlinski, who is joining New
York-based hedge fund Millennium Management, according to a
report from the Financial Times.
Millennium Management declined to comment.
Several high-profile executives have departed Goldman in
recent months, including the former head of its consumer and
fintech unit Stephanie Cohen and asset management executive
Julian Salisbury.
