12:28 PM EST, 12/12/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Goliath Resources ( GOTRF ) on Thursday reported drill results from the 2024 field season at its Surebet discovery at its Golddigger project in northern British Columbia's Golden Triangle, expanding the high-grade gold mineralization within the Bonanza Zone.
Drill hole GD-24-249 intercepted 226.12 gold-equivalent grams per tonne over one meter within a larger interval of 45.60 gold-equivalent grams per tonne over 5.95 meters.
The Bonanza Zone remains open and has been nearly doubled in size to 835 x 685 x 612 x 410 meters. Additionally, newly discovered gold-rich porphyritic dykes suggest the presence of a large Reduced Intrusion Related Gold system, with assays pending for a total of 101 drill holes, the company said.
"Early in our 2024 drilling campaign, we observed a much higher percentage of visible gold in the drill core compared to the 2023 drilling campaign," said chief executive Roger Rosmus. "In 2023, 32% of the holes had visible gold and in 2024 it increased to 92%, so we made the decision to switch to the photon assaying method... The 2024 drilling campaign is the best season yet at the Surebet discovery.
Goliath shares were last seen up $0.01 to $1.10 on the TSX Venture Exchange.
