Google Begins Direct Online Hardware Sales in India

07:31 AM EDT, 05/29/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Alphabet's (GOOG, GOOGL) Google ( GOOG ) said Thursday its Google Store is now live in India, allowing direct online sales of its Pixel phones, watches, earbuds and other products.

The move comes ahead of Google's ( GOOG ) expected opening of its first physical retail stores in India, according to multiple media reports. Store locations are currently being finalized, the reports said.

Shares of Alphabet were up 1% in recent premarket activity Thursday.
