Google, Tennessee Valley Authority, Kairos Power Collaborate to Power Data Centers

09:44 AM EDT, 08/18/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Alphabet's (GOOG, GOOGL) Google ( GOOG ) unit, Tennessee Valley Authority and Kairos Power said Monday they are collaborating to power data centers with clean energy.

Under a new power purchase agreement, Tennessee Valley Authority and Kairos Power will supply up to 50 megawatts to Google's ( GOOG ) data centers in Tennessee and Alabama, according to a joint statement.

Kairos Power will deliver energy from its Hermes 2 nuclear plant in Oak Ridge to the Tennessee Valley Authority grid that powers the data centers, the companies said.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
