GoPro, Krispy Kreme Shares Soar as Latest Meme Stock Targets for Traders

10:29 AM EDT, 07/23/2025 (MT Newswires) -- GoPro ( GPRO ) and Krispy Kreme (DNUT) shares soared in recent Wednesday trading in what appeared to be the latest meme stock trend.

GoPro ( GPRO ) stock rose 54% with intraday volume topping 136.6 million shares versus the daily average of almost 4.23 million.

Krispy Kreme shares rose 18% as volume topped 90.5 million versus the daily average of almost 5.23 million.

Beyond Meat ( BYND ) shares gained 8.4% as volume topped 6.95 million versus the daily average of almost 2.13 million

Traders appear to be targeting heavily shorted companies with Krispy Kreme having around 28% of its outstanding shares available to be sold short, and GoPro ( GPRO ) with a short float of less than 10%, according to Yahoo Finance.
