Grab acquires AI robotics firm Infermove to boost delivery capabilities

SINGAPORE, Jan 6 (Reuters) - Singapore's Grab Holdings ( GRAB )

said it has acquired China-based Infermove, a ‌developer

of AI-enabled robotics solutions, ​to strengthen its first- ‍and

last-mile delivery ⁠capabilities.

"As we ⁠are constantly looking for ‌new ways ​to bridge online

and offline in better ⁠and smarter ‍ways, ​we see the opportunity

to further develop Infermove's solutions ‍out of Singapore, to

complement Grab's first- and last-mile delivery capabilities,"

Grab said in ​a ‍statement to Reuters on Tuesday.

The Nasdaq-listed ​company added that its teams will explore

how Infermove's autonomous robots can enhance customer and

partner ​experiences. No financial details were disclosed.
