07:16 AM EDT, 08/12/2025 (MT Newswires) -- High Tide , a cannabis retailer, on Tuesday provided several corporate updates, including the appointment of Sri Pavithra Priyalakshmi as its vice president of digital and eCommerce.

The company said it continues to make "solid" progress on the previously disclosed proposed deal with a leading German medical cannabis importer and wholesaler, and "looks forward" to executing definitive agreements in the near-term. It believes this milestone "will represent a pivotal step forward in its global growth strategy."

High Tide is also participating in Canaccord Genuity's 45th Annual Growth Conference, taking place from August 12-14, at the InterContinental Boston Hotel.

In regard to the replacement of its prior base shelf prospectus expiring on September 3, the company filed a final short form base shelf prospectus. The prospectus enables it to offer, issue and sell, from time to time, common shares, warrants, units, subscription receipts, debt securities, convertible securities, or any combination of such securities for up to $100 million or its equivalent, in one or more transactions during the effective period.

Proceeds from the sale of the securities may be used for general corporate purposes, capital projects, internal expansion, or for the acquisition of other businesses, assets or securities by it or one of its units.

Shares of the company closed up 10% to $3.29 on Monday on the TSX Venture Exchange.
