The company said it continues to make "solid" progress on the previously disclosed proposed deal with a leading German medical cannabis importer and wholesaler, and "looks forward" to executing definitive agreements in the near-term. It believes this milestone "will represent a pivotal step forward in its global growth strategy."

Proceeds from the sale of the securities may be used for general corporate purposes, capital projects, internal expansion, or for the acquisition of other businesses, assets or securities by it or one of its units.

Shares of the company closed up 10% to $3.29 on Monday on the TSX Venture Exchange.
