06:32 AM EDT, 09/16/2025 (MT Newswires) -- HighPeak Energy ( HPK ) said Chief Executive Jack Hightower will retire and Michael Hollis, the company's president, has been appointed interim CEO.
Hollis has served as HighPeak president and a board member since 2020 and was previously president and COO of Diamondback Energy (FANG), the company said Tuesday.
Hightower will also retire from managing the Highpeak Funds, which collectively own about 64.4% of the company. The funds will be managed by a committee of Hollis and company executives Daniel Silver and Ryan Hightower, HighPeak said.
The company also said the funds have designated Silver as their board appointee, and he has been named to the board.
