05:57 PM EDT, 10/08/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Hilton Grand Vacations ( HGV ) said late Tuesday it purchased the Citadines Kyoto Karasuma Gojo, its first property in Kyoto and third in Japan.

The company plans to renovate the property into 63 modern one-bedroom timeshare units. Renovation will likely begin in Q2, with completion expected in Q1 2026.

Hilton said sales at the property will probably begin in Q2. The company's membership exceeds 72,000 in Japan and has grown annually since 2012.

The company didn't disclose financial details of the purchase.
