Hilton Worldwide Holdings Plans Over 100 New Hotels Across Africa

09:12 AM EDT, 06/18/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Hilton Worldwide Holdings ( HLT ) said Wednesday it plans to expand its presence in Africa to more than 160 hotels, up from 63 currently, by opening more than 100 new hotels.

The hotel operator said it expects to open the new hotels across several markets in Africa, including Nigeria, Angola, Ghana, Madagascar, and Benin.

Hilton said it recently signed its first hotel deals in Angola and Benin, and expects to enter Ghana later this year with the opening of Hilton Accra Cantonments.

Other upcoming hotels include properties in Nigeria's Abuja, Lagos, and Kano, as well as in Madagascar, Ethiopia, Tanzania, and Morocco, the company said.
