10:07 AM EST, 01/06/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Hologic ( HOLX ) said Monday it has closed the purchase of medical device company Gynesonics for about $350 million.

The medical technology company said the acquisition expands its portfolio of diagnostic products for women and increases access to Gynesonics' Sonata system, which combines diagnostic imaging with radiofrequency ablation to treat uterine fibroids.

Shares of Hologic ( HOLX ) were up 1% in recent Monday trading.
