07:47 AM EDT, 10/07/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Hudbay Minerals ( HBM ) up 3.3% in New York trading, said Tuesday it has resumed operations at the Constancia mine in Peru following a temporary shutdown due to local protests and blockades. Hudbay continues to expect to meet its 2025 production and cost guidance ranges.
The mill is now at full production levels and the workforce is expected to return to normal levels over the coming days.
Hudbay also noted that with the regional social unrest impacting transportation routes earlier in the third quarter and ocean swells impacting port shipments in late September, a 20,000 dry metric tonne copper concentrate shipment was deferred from late September to early October, reducing sales volumes in the third quarter. This shipment was sold early in the fourth quarter and total concentrate inventory levels have normalized.
Hudbay Minerals ( HBM ) shares are up $0.51, to $16.16, in the US pre-market trading.
