03:51 PM EDT, 10/03/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Huntington Bancshares ( HBAN ) and Veritex ( VBTX ) reported Friday that they have received all necessary regulatory approvals for their merger.

The Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System and the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency have approved the merger of Veritex ( VBTX ) into Huntington, with Huntington remaining as the surviving entity, the companies said.

The transaction is expected to complete on Oct. 20.

Shares of Huntington and Veritex ( VBTX ) rose around 1.2% and 1.4%, respectively, in recent Friday trade.
