Huntington Ingalls, Babcock Collaborate on Unmanned Undersea Warfare

10:25 AM EDT, 09/11/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Huntington Ingalls Industries ( HII ) said Thursday it signed a memorandum of understanding with Babcock International Group to enable autonomous launch and recovery of unmanned underwater vehicles via submarine torpedo tubes.

Under the agreement, HII's REMUS unmanned underwater vehicles will be integrated with Babcock's submarine weapon handling and launch systems, aimed at bolstering the undersea advantage of allied navies.

Shares of Huntington Ingalls Industries ( HII ) rose 1.2% in recent trading.
