Oct 9 (Reuters) - Hurricane Helene's impact on Baxter
International's ( BAX ) facility will likely lead to further
constraints in the supply of intravenous fluids, the U.S.
Department of Health and Human Services said on Wednesday.
On Sept. 29, medical device maker Baxter said its North Cove
site which makes IV fluids, had been affected by
hurricane-related flooding and was closed for production. It
said it was working with the government to assess the damage and
bring the plant back online as quickly as possible.
