08:51 AM EDT, 08/06/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Hut 8 ( HUT ) , an energy infrastructure platform, was down 0.35% in US premarket trade Wednesday as it said that Gryphon stockholder voting has started in connection with the previously announced stock-for-stock merger transaction between American Bitcoin, its majority-owned unit, and Gryphon Digital Mining .

A statement noted the combined company will operate under the American Bitcoin brand, led by the management and board of American Bitcoin upon closing of the deal. The combined company is expected to trade on Nasdaq under the ticker symbol "ABTC," with the deal currently targeted to close in early September, subject to certain approvals and conditions.
