IBM Acquires Kubecost to Support Financial Operations Services

02:50 PM EDT, 09/17/2024 (MT Newswires) -- International Business Machines ( IBM ) said Tuesday it has acquired Kubecost, a software company specializing in Kubernetes cost monitoring and optimization, to support its financial operations services.

Financial details were not disclosed.

Kubecost provides real-time insights into Kubernetes infrastructure costs, allowing organizations to reduce expenses, prevent over-provisioning, and avoid resource-based outages through integrated cloud billing APIs, the company said.

IBM ( IBM ) plans to deliver comprehensive cloud cost and performance management by merging Kubernetes monitoring, financial insights and cloud optimization into a single service, it added.
