IBM to take $2.7 bln charge related to transfer of pension obligations

Sept 11 (Reuters) - IBM ( IBM ) said on Wednesday that

it expects to take a one-time non-cash pre-tax pension

settlement charge of approximately $2.7 billion in the third

quarter, in connection with a pension plan

transfer agreement with Prudential.
