Imax Says Delivered 22% of Global Box Office Share of 'Dune: Part Two'

10:32 AM EDT, 03/11/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Imax ( IMAX ) said it has delivered 22% of the global box office for "Dune: Part Two" in its second weekend of global release.

The company said it recorded $27.7 million in the film's box office during this weekend from 1,600 Imax ( IMAX ) locations worldwide.

The sci-fi sequel, which is being distributed by Warner Bros. Discovery's ( WBD ) Warner Bros Pictures, has made $72.4 million in Imax ( IMAX ) box office to date, the company added.

Imax ( IMAX ) also said that the film opened in China this weekend, and is set to open in Japan on March 15.
