06:24 AM EDT, 04/30/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Imperial Metals ( IPMLF ) overnight Monday reported a "notable" interval of 270 meters grading 0.65% copper and 0.48 grams per tonne (g/t) gold from 22.5 meters at the Mount Polley mine in British Columbia.
The result from hole SD-24-179 was planned to target gaps in the southern/western portion of the Springer zone mineralization, which has the potential to be converted from resource to reserve due to its proximity to existing mining and planned pits.
The ongoing 2024 exploration program at Mount Polley is designed to follow up on last year's drilling in the Springer zone, the company said.
