No-frills carrier IndiGo is expanding its portfolio by adding more international destinations, reported The Economic Times.
The carrier, according to the report, will offer service to 24 new foreign destinations within the next 18 months.
The new services will be aimed at 18 destinations located in the Middle East, Southeast Asia and China, the report said. In addition, cities in France, Germany, Belgium, the UK and Switzerland too will be connected.
“The plans for international expansion are firmed up and the airline may order wide-bodied aircraft at the Farnborough air show to be held in July,” a source was quoted in the report.
The decision comes as part of the carrier's plan to expand its operations that IndiGo co-founder Rahul Bhatia had stated to be a priority during an interview earlier in the month, the report said.
