Infosys shortlists five candidates to succeed MD Ranganath as CFO
Aug 20, 2018 8:13 AM

The Infosys nomination and remuneration committee met on Monday and identified five candidates for the post of the chief financial officer (CFO), sources privy to the developments told CNBC-TV18.

Of the five candidates identified, three are internal and two are external. The preference is more for internal candidates, since Infosys needs to maintain some certainty towards employees and clients, sources said.

India's second largest IT services firm, Infosys, on Saturday said its CFO, MD Ranganath, has resigned from the company.

Ranganath, an Infosys veteran who took over the role in 2015 after the exit of Rajiv Bansal, will continue in his current position till November 16, 2018.

The entire process of interviewing candidates would start by August end and the final shortlisting would be identified in October and the likely nomination would happen in mid-November.

Infosys refused to comment on market speculation.
