09:20 AM EDT, 07/15/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Integra LifeSciences Holdings ( IART ) said Monday it plans to restart production of its PriMatrix and SurgiMend wound-care products at its new manufacturing site in Braintree, Massachusetts.

The medical technology company said the facility will open in the first half of next year.

Integra said it will consolidate production in Braintree site instead of restarting production at its Boston facility.

Integra last year issued a voluntary recall of a number of its products manufactured at the Boston plant after the US Food and Drug Administration raised concerns following an inspection of the facility.

The company added it will temporarily use the Boston site to support product and process development to provide a seamless transition to the new facility.
