09:24 AM EDT, 10/16/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Interactive Brokers Group ( IBKR ) said Wednesday it is opening an office in Dubai International Financial Center.

The electronic broker said the new office is part of its strategy to grow its presence in the Middle East and North Africa region, as well as in the surrounding countries. It also said the office has received a Category 4 license from the Dubai Financial Services Authority.

Shares of Interactive Brokers Group ( IBKR ) were down 2.7% in recent premarket activity.
