09:52 AM EDT, 07/12/2024 (MT Newswires) -- InterDigital (IDCC) said the Court of Appeal in the UK has ruled in favor of the technology research and development company in its licensing dispute with Chinese computer manufacturer Lenovo.
InterDigital said the court rejected Lenovo's entire appeal of a lower-court ruling and increased the amount the company must pay to license the plaintiff's wireless cellular patents.
Lenovo will pay $240 million in royalties on its sales of devices using InterDigital technology starting in 2007 and continuing until the end of last year, up $55 million from the original decision, the company said.
